Baker saves the day during the heatwave after a colony of crickets living inside an air-con invades a shop: ‘My lizard will feed well tonight’

Have you ever faced an uncomfortable situation because someone else didn't do their job? 

Having co-workers who don't really like to do their job can be the worst, especially when you depend on them to do yours. In a big company, every team has to work together so everything functions smoothly, like a clock. IT and maintenance teams are crucial. The rest of us rely solely on what they keep running to do our jobs right. 

Everybody does their thing and minds their own business, but eventually something happens, and we need to call someone to fix it for us. That is not a bad thing; we all need help sometimes, and it's a good thing that we know when to ask for it, and more importantly, who to ask. Sometimes the right solution can come from the least expected person. 

Redditor u/FiaraChi experienced that very same thing when a colony of crickets nested inside her shop's air-con. No one had cleaned the thing in months, so the crickets were nesting there happily until they decided to break loose. The baker was the only one with the nerve to get them out of the way. 

We can all agree that it was one heck of a bizarre situation, and it could have been easily avoided if someone had done their job and switched the air vents before they got infested with bugs. Still, the Redditor, along with her supervisors and other co-workers, was terribly grateful for the baker's ability to handle a hairy situation without much to go on. At least we get to dwell on the crazy image that is a shop full of crickets and a bunch of clueless executives standing there completely dumbfounded.
